The Future Design Controls RSC Signal Conditioner is a high-performance DIN-rail mounted module engineered for precision signal conversion, isolation, and retransmission. Designed for demanding industrial automation and process control environments, it supports universal input types including thermocouples, RTDs, current (mA), and voltage (V) signals.

With its 18-bit A/D conversion and 15-bit D/A retransmission resolution, the RSC ensures fast, stable, and accurate measurement across diverse applications. Optional RS-485 Modbus RTU communication and programmable digital filtering make it ideal for integration into PLC-based systems, OEM equipment, and process monitoring solutions.

Key Features

  • Universal Input Compatibility – Accepts thermocouple, RTD, current, and voltage inputs for flexible industrial use.
  • High-Resolution Signal Conversion – 18-bit A/D and 15-bit D/A ensure precision and repeatability.
  • Three Independent Analog Outputs – Configurable retransmission channels for current or voltage signals.
  • RS-485 Modbus RTU Communication – Seamless integration with SCADA, DCS, and PLC systems.
  • Compact DIN-Rail Design – Saves panel space while providing robust electrical isolation.
  • USB Configuration Port – Simplifies setup, calibration, and firmware updates.
  • Programmable Digital Filter & Square Root Function – Enhances signal stability and flow measurement accuracy.

RSC Panel Interface – Clear Dual Display & Intuitive Keys

The RSC features a dual-line high-brightness LCD display with four tactile control keys (Scroll/Enter, Up, Down, Reset) for fast configuration and on-site monitoring. The display shows real-time process values (PV) and set parameters (SV), ensuring operators can quickly view readings or adjust configurations without external software.

Visual indicators provide status updates for outputs, digital inputs, manual mode, and parameter locks—helping operators confirm operational conditions at a glance. A micro USB port enables PC-based setup and diagnostics without disassembling the unit, improving maintenance efficiency.

High-Visibility LCD Display

Engineered for industrial readability, the RSC’s anti-glare dual LCD provides crisp visibility under bright lighting. Its white backlight and high-contrast segments ensure clear viewing from any angle, minimizing errors in control rooms or field environments.

Universal Input Types

The RSC supports nearly all common industrial signal formats:

– Thermocouples: J, K, T, E, B, R, S, N, L, U, P, C, D
– RTDs: PT100 (DIN/JIS)
– Current Inputs: 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA
– Voltage Inputs: 0–5V, 1–5V, 0–10V

Analog Output Options

The RSC provides up to three analog retransmission outputs, configurable as 4–20 mA, 0–20 mA, 0–10V, 1–5V, or 0–5V. Each channel offers:

– 15-bit D/A conversion
– ±0.05% span accuracy
– 0.1-second response time
– Independent scaling (ANL/ANH)
– Electrical isolation for noise immunity

An optional digital input (DI) enables external triggers or mode switching for process flexibility.

USB Programming & Configuration

A front-mounted micro USB port simplifies offline configuration, firmware upgrades, and auto calibration via PC. With the PA98-1 USB adapter and CC98-1 cable, users can connect to FDC-Set configuration software for complete parameter setup, data upload/download, and diagnostics.

The programming port is electrically isolated, ensuring safe PC connection without disrupting active process loops.
