What is FDC-Set Software?

FDC-Set is a free configuration software used for setting up and managing a wide range of Future Design Controls’ DIN-mounted controllers, including:

– Upload existing configuration from the controller
– Modify settings such as setpoints, alarms, and PID parameters
– Save and reuse configurations for fast deployment
– Download new settings directly to the controller

Hardware Requirements for FDC-Set

To connect FDC-Set software to DIN controllers, the following hardware is required:

C-Series (C22, C62, C82, C83, C42 & R22) and L-Series (L22, L62 & L42) uses a micro USB port and require:

• Programming Cable: CC98-1
• Programming Adapter: PA98-1

100 Series / 300 Series / P-Series / L-Series (L91/L41) / 9090 / C21–C91 require converter and cables/

1. SN12A Converter

Enables communication between PC and controllers.

2. Cables (Choose Based on Control Series)

100/C/P (C21, 9100, etc.) – CABLE C91-1
C/L/B (C91, L91, B41, B42) – CABLE C91-2
300 Series (9300, 8300, etc.) – CABLE C91-3

How to Use FDC-Set Software

1. Connect the PC to the Controller using the SN12A and/or appropriate cables.
2. Launch FDC-Set Software – select the default configuration (°C or °F).
3. Modify Parameters – adjust PID, alarms, and other settings as needed.
4. Upload/Download Settings – sync your configuration with the controller.
5. Save Files – export and reuse configuration files easily via standard Windows commands.

For MCT4 modules, ensure connection is made through Modbus serial communication and that the unit is powered through input terminals.

⚠️ As with all controllers, avoid connection during normal controller operation.
